Nurturing Parenting Manager - Jane McCall Whitmer

Jane is the Program Manager for Nurturing Parenting Program. Previous work includes early childhood and elementary school teaching; District Administrator; training and technical assistance for Head Start programs; and creating/ directing a child development center for the Gallup Organization. Jane currently serves as a consultant and speaker on child development topics, and teaches at Colorado Mountain College.

She holds a BA in Special Education and a MS in Educational Administration as well as a MS in Human Development. Jane was chosen Outstanding Early Childhood Educator 1999 for the Lincoln Public Schools; selected as one of the Primary Program Trainer of Trainers by the Nebraska State Dept. of Education; and chosen to be a Reggio Emilia Delegate to study the Reggio Emilia Schools in Italy.

She has coauthored an Early Childhood curriculum, Beautiful Beginnings, (Brookes Publishing, 2006), which is in its second printing. In her “spare” time, Jane practices yoga, “extreme” meditation and dance. She lives with her husband Ron.
